How our fees work

Ask price. Spread. Bid price.

Spreads

The spread is the difference between the ask and the bid price on a trade.

You can think of it as the ‘cost’ of your trade. It’s one of the ways brokers make money.

At Alpari, we keep our spreads as tight as possible to keep your costs low. Our spreads start from 0.0.

FAQs

Commissions are charges you’ll pay for us handling your trades. We keep our commissions as low as we can to offer you the best returns possible.

The commission you’ll pay on a trade depends on the type of account you’re using, the specific asset, and the size of the trade.

The minimum commission you'll pay is $25 per million notional on FX, Metals and CFDs, and 0.07% of the notional trade value for Cryptocurrencies.

Selling US stocks is commission-free.

Commission-free trading means that we don’t charge any commission on your trades. Our ECN MT4, Standard MT4 and MT5 accounts are commission-free accounts. US stock trades are also commission-free trades.

Spreads or commission are how brokers like Alpari make money as a business, and so we can’t offer completely free trading, but we do aim to keep fees and commissions as low as possible.
