FAQs

MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is a flexible trading platform that lets you analyse markets, place trades, and automate strategies — all in one place.

MT5 has more features than MT4, which can be helpful for advanced traders. Beginners often prefer MT4 for its simpler interface — but you can try both to see what suits you.

MetaTrader is the platform you use to trade on, but any profits you make are made on your trading account with your broker. Once you have created an account with Alpari, it will be directly linked to your platform.

You don't deposit or withdraw money on MetaTrader. This is done on your trading account with your broker. You can learn more about deposit and withdrawal options here.

MetaTrader 5 is completely free to download. You’ll need to fund your trading account though to start making trades.

MT4 is popular with Forex traders, while MT5 supports more assets like CFDs, stocks and futures. It depends on what you want to trade and how you prefer to analyse the market.
